- this one is working great now after I fixed it out of the box. It would have been nice to have had fire up immediate right after install. But no it would not lite. It was not getting gas to the pilot light due to the supply line from the gas cock was to tight from being stretched to far to left of the gas cock thus by moving it over a row in the burner line up the tension of the gas supply to the pilot opened enough to allow the pilot to lite. Opened box well packaged, no scratches or dents. Easy to remove panels easy to install and thick paint on panels. All panels are insulated except front control panel. Digital display for internal temperature of boiler, adjustments can be made for efficiency and temperature. One difference that I have noticed is the fan is a little more noisy than the model that I removed. It's just something to get used to.

Unit installed April 2009. Had to put a new ignitor & sensor in 01/10/2016. Parts alone were $500.00. I installed them. Now for some reason I am getting air in the system. Had to bleed base board radiators twice in two days. I never opened the system up, other than to put ignitor in. One day I had 6a on the computer and the next morning I had a 6L showing. Should have stayed with a boiler that people know how to service. Do not see any savings from old Hobart boiler that I had for forty... more

If you have electric baseboard heat and are looking for a premium product this seems to be pretty much the only game in town. It looks about as good as a baseboard heater can do and exudes quality. The thing weighs about ten times a regular heater of similar size so holds heat much better - though ultimately you are buying this for looks not performance.
