We replaced an Amana unit with the LG that claimed to be the quietest on the market. It is definitely quieter and we have had it installed for two weeks, running every day, however it is not quiet by any means. There is some type of groan towards shut down that lasts for about 10-15 seconds. It also runs more than the Amana did which I'm sure will result in higher electrical bills. We surveyed several options for purchasing the DitraHeat and eComfort was significantly less than the other options. This is a four to five star item, or should be. However, the independent carrier used by eComfort is such a pain to deal with, I have to give it three stars to register my complaints. Despite what the email from eComfort said, the driver worked very hard to get us to accept the product without inspection, and indicated once it was off his truck it was not going back on no matter what damage we might find. He falsely claimed that because it was "over 100 pounds" he could not help... more

Replaced the old unit with the new Goodman GSX13 - 2.5 ton. Would you believe it's so quiet you can hardly hear it run? The old one was noisy. This is one of the best units I have used. I will buy Goodman from hear on. Thank you goodman.
