The unit tends to leak through pinholes which are due to impurity of copper tube material from cheap production country. The oil, a part of Freon makes most plastics parts brittle and replace indoor unit. This situation is a subject of recall, however, the company avoids ruining the company name offering free replacement parts for long period. I have repair three pin holes in one indoor unit. I have a large auto repair shop in upstate NY that was like an icebox every winter.... until we installed this unit! Now it easily warms up the shop and keeps it that way. I elected to install the unit myself. I have decent construction skills and did a lot of reading before hand. The unit came complete and had good directions. I had power to my pool pump near where I planned to install the condenser and did have to go one size larger on the wire to support both units but that was not a problem. The wall unit was easy to install and I used a hammer drill to cut out the 3" hole through my masonry wall. Trim kit worked nicely sealing the hole. I did... more
