4-star Unit Woks Great But Concerned About The Lack Of Warranty Aug 01, 2016

It was easy to install and start up but in reading the manual no warranty is supplied unless the system is installed by a certified installer. The house was cold and it was Saturday so no option of contracting help. Gas furnaces are inherently reliable so probably not a problem but some warning may have changed my mind of self performing.

Our main house is cooled by a 2.5 ton conventional a/c. I replaced that unit in June with a new American Standard (Trane) a/c. On the back of the house is a Florida room 44' x 12' that was not air conditioned. Three sides of the room are sliding glass doors, circa 1989, overlooking a lake and facing east. Where do I start? I'm no HVAC pro. But I have one on speed dial. After much deliberating and my HVAC expert telling me to go with ecomfort I figured "what the heck". the site is great, the filter is okay. I selected my "kit" which touted to be a high end communicating (i.e. comfortnet) setup. GREAT! Only problem... You can't select individual options.
