I installed the 50 gal version of this unit last Thursday and have an energy bridge from my electric company that lets me track my real time electric usage. My 13 year old electric water heater was way past its 6 year warranty so I decided to swap it out to this and couldn't be happier. After 3 back to back showers this unit did not even engage the electric elements to reheat the tank, so I doubt I will ever need to moving forward. Hooked up the heater in late June, so no way to tell how it will work when the cold weather arrives. Hook up was easy, except the schematic didn't really tell which of the possible 5-6 spots the two line thermostat was to be hooked. Blew a fuse the first time I turned it on, but the second placing of the thermostat lines worked.

We have an older 1800 sq. ft. manufactured home that we rent out. The old heat system was a very inefficient forced air electric furnace. Our renters tell us the two heads from the mini-split system heat the home superbly. They also can't believe how quiet it is. They say the A/C in the summer will be icing on the cake.
