We bought this unit to replace a 30 year old unit. We wanted one very similar so installation would be easy and a do it yourself job. I am always leery about on line shopping, but ecomfort made me comfortable with my experience. The unit was exactly what we wanted and installation was fantastic. We had to modify one piece of duct work--which was really nothing. I would shop at ecomfort in the future.

AC unit of 8 years died during heat spell and contractors where quoting very high prices to replace. Having some mechanical ability I decided to purchase and install a new unit myself. eComfort guided me through the whole system and the new unit was shipped to Calif. in just a few days. Had new unit installed in two days and had a licensed AC Tech do my start-up. I saved almost $6000 dollars. New project will be a whole house fan system which they also sell.

My wife likes the house at 77 Deg. and my son likes 70 Deg. in his room so I decided to purchase a Mitsubishi 9000 BTU mini split. The unit arrived as promised and was well packed. The long cable duct was missing, but was then shipped immediately without charge. The unit was easy to install per the included instructions. I elected to install the unit myself. I have decent construction skills and did a lot of reading before hand. The unit came complete and had good directions. I had power to my pool pump near where I planned to install the condenser and did have to go one size larger on the wire to support both units but that was not a problem. The wall unit was easy to install and I used a hammer drill to cut out the 3" hole through my masonry wall. Trim kit worked nicely sealing the hole. I did... more
